There are plenty of places to eat in Freeport, but I advise getting out of 'town' and enjoy eating lunch or dinner on the waterfront. A short 8min/2.9mi drive head over to Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster Company for low key picnic dining, outside and inside, right on the water at the town wharf. Average pricing, the food is great and the scenery is wonderful, BYOB.December 03, 2016
- 5 / 5By Gillian GreeneIf you're looking for the best clam chowder on the east coast, I'd recommend going here. I drove from Connecticut to Maine one Saturday just for Harraseeket Lunch. Come a little bit before lunchtime to avoid the long lines that pile in out of nowhere. Some items seem a bit pricey but it is so worth it. I went here last about 2 months ago and my mouth is still watering writing this. Go here for sure. It's also convenient if you want to shop after your lunch, the outlets and the big LL Bean is a 10 minute drive down the road.September 05, 2016
